New York and Boston to Headline Sustainable Cities Briefing

Feb. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- AltaTerra Research is pleased to announce the first briefing in its “Solutions for Sustainable Cities” series, “Solutions for Sustainable Cities: Managing Energy and Emissions for Systematic Savings.” This briefing features innovative approaches and proven solutions from New York City, Boston, and ICLEI--case studies in achieving systematic savings through energy and emissions management. Jennifer Ewing Thiel, Director of Tools and Technical Innovation at ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability USA will describe the elements of a successful municipal carbon and energy reduction program, and related drivers and trends across municipalities in the United States.

Jaclyn Pitera, Senior Analyst at AltaTerra Research will provide an overview of the marketplace for environmental resource management systems, representative capabilities, and how these are being deployed as a 'system of record' in enterprise sustainability programs.
