The second-row seats can be easily reclined for more comfort and extra space. Towing capacity of the new 2011 Durango has also increased to 8,950 pounds, when properly equipped.

Under the hood, engine choices of the new Durango include: a Chrysler’s new Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 that delivers 290-horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque and a 360-horsepower, 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 390 lb-ft of torque.

Exterior features such as 18-inch aluminum wheels, front fog lights, automatic halogen headlights, and heated side mirrors are all standard. Optional exterior features include the followings: 20-inch rims, high-intensity-discharge headlights, SmartBeam automatic high-beam headlights, power liftgate, power sunroof, roof rack with storable cross rails, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Inside the new Durango comes with interior features such as fabric-covered seats, 60/40-split second row, 50/50-split third row, tilt/telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, tri-zone automatic air conditioning, and a CD stereo with auxiliary input.

Optional interior features include leather-trimmed seats, touch-screen audio system with hard drive for storing music, Alphine premium audio, Garmin-based in-dash navigation system, front- and second-row heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The 2011 Dodge Durango is equipped with several useful safety features that up-to-date and highly advanced. Standard safety features of the new Durango include antilock brakes, side-impact airbags for the front seats, stability system, and a trailer-sway control. A backup camera, a blind spot monitoring system, and rear cross-path detection are all optional.
