Feb. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Every mother deserves one night off and  Thursday, May 5th  is it for the 15 millions moms expected to take part in the 3rd Annual National Mom’s Nite Out™.  Moms across the United States will unite in celebrating motherhood with each other via local and national events as well as cyber celebrations. Organized by Maria Bailey, CEO of BSM Media, author and Mom Talk Radio host, National Mom’s Nite Out will unite hundreds of social media groups, companies, local playgroups, mom bloggers and networks in giving moms a well deserved night off.

“National Mom's Nite Out™ is one of the largest cooperative efforts of Mommy groups, Mom-focused organizations and corporations, bloggers and vloggers - all coming together for one great night in support of motherhood,” Bailey said, adding, “Moms can even get in on the virtual fun by participating in our #MomsNiteOut Twitter celebration or watching live-streaming parties on MomTV.com.”

A sponsor since the first year hosting celebrations for moms on May 5, Simon Property Group will plan events at as many as 100 malls across the country.  “Simon Property Group is proud to be part of this effort that recognizes the importance of motherhood,” said Lynnette Lauria, Regional Vice President Marketing-Florida. “Our malls are the perfect meeting places for all moms and we look forward to hosting many fun-filled events.”

Millions of Moms will gather from coast-to-coast, from New York to San Diego and Australia to Canada.  Hundreds of events are planned at mall and retail locations, homes and hotels. Moms will gather to enjoy food, entertainment and prizes from generous sponsors, like Children’s Orchard, Simon Property Group and Parents magazine.

“We created National Mom’s Nite Out because so many of today’s mothers spend Mother’s Day focused on catering to the grandparents of their children or their own mothers,” explains Bailey, a mother of 4. “We decided that moms deserve one night off from cooking, cleaning and responsibility and time to celebrate motherhood with each other.”

Moms can learn about events in their area or national and cyber events by visiting the National Mom’s Nite Out website at http://www.momsniteout.com, or Twitter: http://twitter.com/momsniteout, Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/National-Moms-Nite-Out/1779... and YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NationalMomsNiteOut.

About National Mom’s Nite Out: National Mom’s Nite Out™ is timed just before the official Mother’s Day holiday for a reason. Maria Bailey organized the first National Mom’s Nite Out as, for years, she watched moms take care of everyone else on Mother’s Day, but never themselves. These events give Moms the excuse to take the night off and to celebrate motherhood, without the kids.
