In Honor of Margarita Day Dallas Margarita Society Announces the 35th Anniversary Annual Margarita

Feb. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- In celebration of National Margarita Day on February 22, The Dallas Margarita Society announces it will host its 35th Annual Dallas Margarita Ball on Saturday, November 19, 2011, benefiting Dallas Children’s Charities.

The Dallas Margarita Ball is a private, invitation only event, and features live music and a Vegas-style club for dancing, a casino and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit Dallas Children’s Charities. The Ball is held at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel (400 N. Olive St., Dallas) from 7 PM to 1 AM. All guests must have an invitation.

Dallas Margarita Society is also proud to announce that Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. (Sauza Tequila, Hornitos Tequila, Effen Vodka and other brands) is renewing its Double Diamond Sponsorship ($50,000+) in support of the 2011 Dallas Margarita Ball.  Sauza Tequila has been the signature tequila in Dallas Margarita Ball margaritas for the past 13 consecutive years.

Dallas Margarita Society Vice President of Sponsorships, Lynn Barringer, stated “We are incredibly pleased and humbled by the continuing support Beam Global provides for the Dallas Margarita Ball and our events throughout the year. It is only through such support that our efforts on behalf of the kids in North Texas are as successful as they have become.”

Beam Global’s continuing commitment formally kicks off the 2011 sponsorship drive. Sponsorship funds bolster the ability of Dallas Margarita Society/Dallas Children’s Charities to continue the many outreach events, both charitable and social, which the organization hosts throughout the year.

In 2010, The Dallas Margarita Society/Dallas Children’s Charities raised nearly $1,000,000 for the benefit of charities which work directly with at risk children in North Texas, including almost $400,000 in toys and other in-kind donations, and $180,000 in corporate and individual sponsorships.

This year marks the 35th Anniversary of DMS/DCC, a significant milestone for the regional 501(c)(3) charity, which provides meaningful assistance to more two dozen children’s charities and governmental programs in North Texas through gifts of toys, bicycles, computers, community service, and other voluntary contributions, estimated to have a combined value of over a million dollars each year.

Organizations receiving assistance through the years have included: AIDS Services of Dallas, Bethesda Young Life, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dallas, Calumet Community Center, Camp John Marc, Children United, Inc., Dallas Can!
