All Around Prospects announced the promotion of two of their players to College Baseball in the United States.

Feb. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Bayamón, Puerto Rico-  All Around Prospects today announced the promotion of two of their players to College Baseball in the United States. Kevin De Jesus from Arroyo and Víctor Nazario from Sabana Grande, are enrolled in and will play  at Parkland College and Lincoln College, respectively this spring at Illinois. After collecting and analyzing all the relevant information recruiters look for, All Around Prospects interviewed Kevin and Victor’s local coaches to craft an academic-athletic resume and a scouting report. Then, they used technology, as video and their webpage to successfully promote their young athletes.

“To land an athletic scholarship you have to put the same effort as you do to land a job opportunity,” says Carlos M. Díaz Torres, CMO, All Around Prospects. “College recruiters not only look for the best players. They put the same weight to academic performance and character. That’s why parents should follow up on their kids grades and work ethic because better grades means more opportunities available. We also work with players having GPA’s fewer than 2.00 but we are realistic about fewer opportunities available.”

Every youngster that actively practices baseball fundamentals and participates in any of the most recognized Youth Baseball Leagues in Puerto Rico has a chance to be recruited to an academic institution in the United States through scholarship. Becoming a student-athlete provides the player an excellent opportunity to reach the professional level in two ways: academically and athletically. By combining academics and athletics, a career outside of baseball also assures a stable life when one's playing days end. There are three main associations that group thousands of baseball opportunities: NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) and NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association).

Other variables considered in the recruiting process are English language fluency and Admission Test scores. That’s why All Around Prospects teamed up with companies like Berlitz and Honors Learning Centers to help their kids increase their recruiting chances by mastering those areas. All Around Prospects also works with athletes and their family to build an effective social media platform to showcase the young person's personality and skills away from the field as well, presenting the best possible chance for success.

On February 25, 2011 and starting at 6:00PM EST, All Around Prospects will host a Home Run Derby in order to showcase prospects batting and power tools. The Derby will take place at Sierra Bayamón Baseball Field and will be transmitted live to baseball recruiters, fans and general public via Internet. Three college recruiters had already confirmed attendance and few more will confirm soon. The registration fee will be $5 and prizes will include memorabilia autographed by Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar, a prospect video production, and more. “This event will be a great opportunity to catch the attention of any college recruiter attending online. We plan to revolutionize the industry as we start our Live Online Showcases for recruiters through the United States exposing the five tools they want to see: Batting, Power, Defense, Arm Strength, and Speed,” concluded Díaz.
