Announcing Two New ‘Great Outdoors Shows’ for 2011- North & South

Feb. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- With the recession continuing to deter consumers from booking overseas holidays and the UK ‘staycation’ sector burgeoning hand-in-hand, a Manchester-based exhibition organiser, Great Outdoors Show Ltd, is announcing two new ‘Great Outdoors Shows’ for the North West and South East of England in 2011. The Royal Wedding bank holiday weekend will see the North West ‘Great Outdoors Show’ take place from April 30 to May 2 at the central location of Haydock Racecourse, Lancashire, followed by the South East ‘Great Outdoors’ Show’ on June 3 to 5 at Kent County Showground, just half an hour from Central London (http://www.GreatOutdoorsShow.co.uk ).

The two shows will give exhibitors the chance to showcase everything from holiday and retirement parks to motor homes, caravans, camping equipment and accessories, as well as products for outdoor and leisure pursuits such as walking, running, cycling, surfing, sailing, and action adventure. Companies that offer complementary services for healthy living and wellbeing will also be exhibiting.

Both ‘Great Outdoors Show’ incorporate ‘The UK Staycation Show’ for tourism, parks, static caravan locations, campsites, attractions and destinations. With the recession holding its icy grip, consumer interest in the staycation market is growing and companies such as Haven have recently reported a huge upturn in business.

This major North West show, scheduled for the Royal Wedding weekend, is predicted to prove popular with consumers from a massive catchment area of six million people. Haydock Park is equidistant -  just 15 miles from Manchester and Liverpool with adjacent towns including Warrington, St Helens, Wigan, Widnes, Skelmersdale, Chorley, Bolton, Leigh, Stockport and Knutsford.

The South East ‘Great Outdoors Show’ is also set to prove popular and is strategically located just 35 minute journey from Central London, as well as local towns of Maidstone, Rochester and Gillingham. Organiser Steve Foley, selected the location because of its sizeable and affluent catchment area and communication links directly from the M2 & M20.

The ‘South East Great Outdoors Show’ takes place on June 4 to 5 at Kent County Showground, Detling, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 3JF.

Evening entertainment for the South Great Outdoor Show will include the UK’s No1 Coldplay tribute band Coolplay plus The Sleeves.
