Engine choices available under the hood of the new Dodge Durango include: Chrysler’s new Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 that produces 290-horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque and a 360-horsepower, 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 390 lb-ft of torque.

Standard exterior features of the New Dodge Durango come with 18-inch aluminum wheels, front fog lights, automatic halogen headlights, and heated side mirrors. 20-inch rims, high-intensity-discharge headlights, SmartBeam automatic high-beam headlights, power liftgate, power sunroof, roof rack with storable cross rails, and rain-sensing windshield wipers are all optional exterior features.

Inside the new Durango comes with interior features such as fabric-covered seats, 60/40-split second row, 50/50-split third row, tilt/telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, tri-zone automatic air conditioning, and a CD stereo with auxiliary input. Optional interior features include leather-trimmed seats, touch-screen audio system with hard drive for storing music, Alphine premium audio, Garmin-based in-dash navigation system, front- and second-row heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The 2011 Dodge Durango is equipped with safety features that are useful and highly advanced. Standard safety features of the new Durango include antilock brakes, side-impact airbags for the front seats, stability system, and a trailer-sway control. A backup camera, a blind spot monitoring system, and rear cross-path detection are all optional.
