Feb. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- The drum clinic and music seminar features drummer Prairie Prince, Jeff Tamelier, former guitarist of Tower of Power, and bassist Bobby Vega (Airto Moreira). Proceeds benefit three nonprofit organizations; The I AM Workshop Tour, Community Chest and Northern Nevada H.O.P.E.S. All the organizations support many in the community by providing free and low-income services for the under served. The Alan Sweet Project will be the opening act for the benefit concert, which will feature many local musicians.

Alan CK Sweet, former drummer of Bad JuJu, and founder of the I AM Workshop Tour, a nonprofit organization, which helps low-income, disadvantaged, minority teens and adults break drug addictions, is the host for the event. “We help all races and faiths without force feeding our views on anybody,” Sweet said.

Benefit organizer and concert series promoter Alan CK Sweet has performed with the Bangles, War and Living Colour. He has also appeared with Neal Schon (Journey and Santana), and Mark Kendall (Great White). He recently produced the CD Alan Sweet Project-"Dig-it-al" featuring Abraham Laboriel, Sr. on bass, Michael Landau and Ruben Diaz on lead guitar, Rick De Piro on keyboards/co-producer and Jacki De Piro on lead vocals. CDs can be ordered at the event for $10.
