NLV Center Ring Boxing Monthly Youth Fights

Feb. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- The North Las Vegas Center Ring Boxing Club (The Club) has operated in the Las Vegas area since 1995 as a Non-Profit Organization 501(c)3.  The club/gym is open from 4:30. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday for tutoring and training. The Club serves youth daily at (Location).  The Club is available to low and moderate-income youths, ages 8 to 18 of the high-risk neighborhood located in all North Las Vegas and Las Vegas.  However, it is open to all youths and referrals from the juvenile justice system regardless of which area of Clark County they reside.  The objectives of the program provided by North Las Vegas Center Ring Boxing Club (the Club) are to prevent academic failure, promote physical development, competition and club membership.  

“Since 2004 we have been serving our community youths with sports and education programs.  Most of our members are unable to afford fees or bear cost of uniforms and any competitions, so we provide that for them Free of Charge.  We need continued help from our surrounding community organizations, citizens and companies to raise funds to facilitate our programs, Jose Banales of The Club.  

The Club hosts monthly amateur fights at the Silver Nugget Casino as a platform for these young athletes to compete amongst local fights as well as earning opportunities to compete in national competitions.  March 12, 2011 NLV Center Ring Presents CRB Night of Boxing at 6pm 2140 Las Vegas Blvd, North Las Vegas NV 89030.  The weigh in starts at 9am and is open to the public.  Admission is $10 and free for kids 8 and under.  Award trophies will go the both first and second place competitors and there will be a best boxer and best bout trophy presented at the end of the competition.  To volunteer or donate to the youth program visit www.nlvcenterringboxing.webs.com or call (702) 335-0571.
