Kate Mayer has been hired as the communications and social media assistant for venues such as Twitter (@KeyHyundai), Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/#!/KeyHyundai) and YouTube, as well as to pursue community advocacy so vital to Key Hyundai's beliefs. “Kate has extensive marketing experience, the skill to write specifically to our market, is a community activist, and as a self-proclaimed gear-head, she’s a welcome addition to our staff,” said Jill Merriam, CEO and co-owner of Key Hyundai with her brother Jeff Merriam.

Providing valuable car buying, driving, and financing advice

Key Hyundai's primary goal is to be a solution provider rather than a product pusher. Consumers often find themselves in a position where car buying is daunting and intimidating.  “They may owe too much for their trade or their credit may be challenged,” said Jill Merriam. “Key Hyundai is here to help, to be a trusted car buying advisor, whether you buy from us or not. Thankfully, most do buy here at Key."

“Consumers are smarter than ever,” said Jill Merriam, CEO of Key Hyundai of Manchester and Milford. “They do their homework and know what they want, and what they don’t, before they ever walk into my showroom. It’s our responsibility to provide valuable information in-person and on-line, where consumers most often conduct research prior to purchasing a car.”

Education – and respect – key for car buying

Launching Key Hyundai into the social media limelight is fueled by Merriam’s desire to provide as much information – and respect – as possible to the consumer. “Education and respect is key to getting people the information they need to purchase a car. By creating an on-line presence, more people will know what Hyundai is, why we’re so good, and why Key Hyundai is the place to buy them,” said Merriam.

“Kate’s primary job will be to communicate my vision to the outside world,” said Merriam. “That’s really me on TV, really me on the radio. It’s my voice, my words, my promise. There’s no smoke and mirrors at Key Hyundai. My vision is to create a car dealership that’s personal, professional and takes the mystique out of buying a car.”

“I’m pumped to launch Key Hyundai into the on-line world,” Merriam said. “And Kate will help get us there and stay there. Social media is still a relatively new frontier to car dealers, but I aim to change that.”
