PPCSolar will award a 2kW photovoltaic system to a Taos County non-profit

Feb. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Donated system will have the market value of $15,000.00 and will produce approximately 2100kWhs (kilowatt hours) per year of electricity.  It will have the capacity to increase property value ($5,000.00 for every $250.00 of annual electricity savings) without adding property taxes.  This system has the capacity to eliminate 2,000+ lbs of carbon dioxide emissions per year, which is comparable to planting over 438 trees.

The system will be awarded based on the following factors:  desire from applicant, site/building criteria, and socio-economic impact on the Taos area.
