University of Pennsylvania to Host Annual “Penn Medicine at Palm Beach” Event
Free Seminar Focuses on Advances in Neurology and Cancer

(PHILADELPHIA) — The University of Pennsylvania is holding its seventh annual health seminar—which is free and open to the public—on Tuesday, March 1 at The Colony Palm Beach. “Living Longer, Living Better” will address healthy aging and include presentations from Penn Medicine’s leaders in cancer, cardiac care, diabetes, orthopedic surgery, and eye care. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with each physician.

Among the presenters is Dr. Scott Levin, Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, who has been making headlines across the country after establishing a new hand transplant program at Penn Medicine—only the fourth of its kind in the U.S. For nine years, Dr. Levin served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps Reserve, providing innovative care to war-injured soldiers. He will speak to Penn Medicine’s guests about the latest advances in joint health and joint replacement.

Registration begins at 8:30 A.M., with the program starting at 9:00 A.M. Complimentary light breakfast and lunch will be served.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Please call
