Hankinson Painting Group Acquires Austrailian Owned PMS UK

Feb. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Programmed Maintenance Services UK will be immediately rebranded back to Whittle, the name it traded under for over 100 years prior to being acquired by the Austrailian Programmed Group in 2000.

The Company will continue to offer it’s unique and industry leading long term maintenance programmes as well as traditional painting and decorating services. It will trade from two existing offices in Nottingham and Birmingham, and will also be marketed from the Group network of seven offices across the UK.  A new website will be launched within the next week at www.whittleprogrammed.co.uk which will provide further information.

Group Chief Executive Stephen Hankinson said “I am delighted that such a strong and well known name has become part of the Hankinson Painting Group.  We share a passion for delivering industry leading performance, continuous improvement in service delivery and a commitment to the training and development of our people”.

“The long term maintenance services delivered by Whittle Programmed Painting Limited diversifies the Group’s offering and is also ideally suited to the present marketplace given its unique financial model”.

Whittle has over 500 long term painting programmes in place with a turnover of over £11M. These programmes service a range of private and public sector businesses including schools, historic buildings, aged care facilities, health facilities and sport/leisure activity property.

Andrew Simpson, newly appointed Operations Manager for Whittle Programmed Painting Limited said “the long term painting maintenance model has been developed and refined over 50 years and has been designed to enable customers to achieve a high standard of presentation for their properties whilst avoiding a large initial capital outlay.  It is a unique business model and is ideally suited to the current marketplace”.

“Considerable emphasis is directed towards the length of the programme (typically 5 years) type of paint finish and the scope of annual servicing to ensure that the paint work is kept in a sound clean condition and that total protection is offered to the building structure”.

Charles Bennington, Contracts Co-ordinator East region - based in Nottingham.
Samantha Branson,Administrator - based in Nottingham.
Mick Lyons,   Contracts Foreman East region - based in Nottingham.

Nat Varatheesan will continue as Financial Controller on secondment from Programmed Group and will be based in Nottingham.
