HSIL Ltd honoured with the Golden Peacock Innovation Award 2011

Feb. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- HSIL Limited, India’s leading Building Products and Container Glass Company has added yet another feather to its cap by being honoured with the prestigious ‘Golden Peacock Innovation Award 2011’. The well-recognised awards scheme gave HSIL Ltd a platform to share the company’s experience and information on innovation practices it has adopted being a leading building products company of India.

The prestigious award was presented by Mr. Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of the Maharashtra Government, during the 21st World Congress on Leading 3600 Transformation on 30 January 2011. It was received by Mr.  R. K. Somany, Chairman & Managing Director, HSIL Ltd. The award ceremony was held at Hotel Leela Kempinski in Mumbai and witnessed a gathering of distinguished business leaders, quality connoisseurs’, jurists, academics, environmentalists, economists, legislators and policy makers.

The highly respected Golden Peacock Awards are organised every year in India by ‘Institute of Directors’, which accepts applications from esteemed companies, individuals and organisations. Through transparent selection criteria, the awards scheme determines the winner after a highly elaborate and independent assessment process. HSIL Ltd was chosen as the winner by a highly respectable experienced jury, under the Chairmanship of Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member of UN Human Rights Commission.
