Feb. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — RetailConnections, creator of business and networking events that bring together senior retailers from all departments in the organization, today announced it is expanding its portfolio to include regional Executive Dinner Series 2011.

Hosted throughout the year in major U.S. cities, RetailConnections’ Executive Dinners attract C-level and VP-level retail executives to discuss business issues while enjoying fine cuisine in a private off-the-record atmosphere. Dinners range in size from six to 10 executives so that all guests have the opportunity for quality one-on-one and group discussion. Each dinner is anchored by a timely business theme but the dialogue is free-form enough to allow diverse opinion to unfold and be shared. Among Dinner themes:

• Mobile’s Impact on Retailing
• Next Generation In-store Technologies
• Social Media Best Practices
• PCI, Payments and Data Security
• Global Inventory Management and Sourcing
• Omni-channel Optimization
• New Customer Loyalty in Action

“Our marquee Summits have been extremely well-received for their high-value content and senior-level networking. However, merchants tell us they also welcome the opportunity to get together with their peers more frequently, in smaller groups, without taking time away from the office,” said Marc Millstein, president of RetailConnections. “We have been hosting such regional dinners organized around retail guests’ schedules for some time. But as demand grows, we have decided to put even more emphasis on this area of our business.”

The Executive Dinner Series draws together executives from all retail verticals — from apparel, mass, specialty and discount to food, drug, department store and pure-play. Retail dinner guests hail from all corners of the executive suite including marketing, finance, IT, supply chain and logistics, merchandising, planning and allocation, store operations and human resources.

Dinners are typically held in major cities such as New York, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston, though other cities can be added to the series.
