Mothers' Day: You Can't Beat A Good Roast Dinner!

Feb. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Mothers’ Day falls on 3 April this year, and millions of mums will be looking forward to having a rest and being made to feel special.  As well as a lie-in with a cup of tea, a card and small present, what many of mums would like is a day off from the chore of cooking for the family.  

Menus4Mum, the online family meal planners, surveyed its members and fans to find out which meal mums would most like cooked for them on Mothers’ Day.  The overwhelming answer with 48% of respondents was a roast dinner, followed by a pasta dish with 18%, and 16% opting for steak and chips.

‘It doesn’t really surprise me that a roast dinner has come out top.  It’s still traditional for many families, and is synonymous with the whole family getting together around the table.  Plus the leftovers can be made into a tasty meal for the following day!’
