Red Swan Inspired by the Black Swan movie and the career of Shelley Michelle, Body Double

Currently, Shelley Michelle was just signed for a role in the new Indy feature film Red Swan, a spin from the Black Swan. “The subject of Black Swan – a leading candidate for the most misunderstood film of 2010 – is the relationship in art, between technique and emotion,” as reported by A.O. Scott in the N.Y. Times, Oscars section, January 2, 2011. The movie is a heated dramatic rendering of an artist’s physical and psychological struggle within herself to find her creative and emotional side of her performing art. “The film was fundamentally a horror film. It gathers psychological implications from its chosen milieu and makes them literal, giving flesh to wild metaphors of female sexuality and aesthetic risk”, according to the Times. “… a swirl of intuitions and sensations…reflected almost everywhere”.

Inspired by a review in the N.Y. Times and the Black Swan movie, Dennis James’ photo-journalistic scenario of the Black Swan transforms the White Swan to a Red Swan, and eventually to become a hybrid Black Swan. This evolution is more erotically and orgasmic enlightenment or ecstatic sensuality, as with Benini’s famous statue of Saint Theresa.

In addition to the new role in Red Swan, Shelley has been seen on stage in the role of Lola in the popular show, “Forever Fosse” on the Sunset Strip and she is currently doing a photo shoot with well known photojournalists, Dennis James and Haidar, known for their expertise in lighting and editorial and the Director of Red Swan.

Shelley shares her passion for a great physique and design through her new lingerie line, Body Double Lingerie. She partnered with well known feather company, Mother Plucker, famed for their feather wing designs for the Victoria Secret fashion shows and print catalogs.
