Amy’s Ice Creams Goes COWrilla To Lure Valentine’s Customers for Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Feb. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- (Austin, Texas) Amy’s Ice Creams has a long tradition of Guerilla marketing to help drive business to the local ice creamery and on this Valentine’s Day they are pulling out the stops and employing their own concept called, COWrilla marketing! The effort is in part to lure Valentine’s Day customers for the companies’ once a year special Chocolate-Covered Strawberries and partly to make people’s day!

Over 200 Central Texans employees create Chocolate-Covered Strawberries in the modified ice cream production facility; for Valentine’s Weekend; Feb 12th 13, 14 at 14 locations across Austin for $16.00 per dozen.  

Today, the company will send Amy’s cows out to the streets creating cow-theater, small scenes & dances on street corners, hoola-hooping cows, balloons! All month long Amy’s  employees have been wearing Chocolate-Covered Strawberry shirts, visiting neighborhoods in cow suits and creating a romantic environments in stores to celebrate the romantic holiday!

All of these activities are used to remind Austinites that Amy’s takes fresh cut strawberries and completely-covers them in Dark Callebaut Chocolate, drizzles white chocolate on top and packages  them in adorable pink egg cartons! These gifts are available for pick up anytime throughout the weekend for those last minute shoppers.

• 9000 pink egg cartons will be utilized to as adorable packaging.
