The true story shown in the Documentary was featured on the OPRAH WINFREY Show, CNN's AC360 with Anderson Cooper, the Dr. Phil Show, and many other U.S., Canadian, and international media as the story focuses on the tragic bullycide of 14 year-old Dawn- Marie Wesley, who hung herself with her dog's leash after being systematically bullied to death by three girls at her high school.

The incident sparked national outrage, fueled a groundbreaking investigation by Canada's Crown, which led to the precedent setting court case, where for the first time in North American Courts, teen girls were arrested, charged, and put on trial for bullying.

Ms. McMillan has also written the Feature Screenplay for the true story, titled, THE TOUGHEST GIRLS  (www.TheToughestGirls.com)

Dawn Marie's mother, Cindy Wesley, believed in Ms. McMillan's vision for the film projects, although other, larger corporate film studios were interested in filming the story.  

Ms. McMillan is requested at, and travels to high schools/middle schools/youth organizations throughout the U.S. to speak on Bullycide and Bullying prevention and shows her company's Film RATS & BULLIES.  She funded the film on her own credit cards and loans, in the hopes of preventing another teen from taking their life due to bullying.

Especially in the light of the recent tragic bullycides, such as that of Rutgers college student, Tyler Clementi; and teens Seth Walsh and Asher Brown, both 13 years old when they took their life due to bullying, Filmmaker Cassidy R. McMillan stresses the importance about talking about Bullying and bullying prevention measures to teens at middle schools, high schools, as well as to college students.
