Lear Werts LLP files a tractor-trailer crash lawsuit for Army veteran in St. Louis federal Court

The lawsuit alleges that the plaintiff, the passenger in her family's SUV, was stopping in traffic on Interstate 55 in the northbound lanes approaching the Poplar Street Bridge ramp when she was rear-ended by the tractor-trailer owned by Fikes Truck Line, LLC.  The truck approached the plaintiff from behind but failed to stop thereby causing the collision.  The lawsuit alleges that Fikes Truck Line, LLC was negligent for this trucking accident due to driving at an excessive speed, failing to keep a careful lookout, and failing to stop.  The lawsuit also alleges that Fikes Truck Line, LLC was negligent in hiring, employing, training, and supervising the driver causing the crash and by failing to properly maintain the truck he was operating.

The woman injured in the wreck suffered personal injuries as a result of the crash, including injuries to her head, neck, back, shoulder, arms, hands, and legs and has been left with permanent disabilities.  The plaintiff’s injuries have greatly impacted her resulting in her being medically discharged from the army.   Lear Werts LLP is seeking damages on behalf of the plaintiff in an amount to compensate her for her medical expenses, pain and suffering, and disability.
