Feb. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- According to Maurice Landers, RendezVous353’s ‘Ambassador’ in New York:
“RendezVous353/Failte 32 has been active in promoting the take-up of the new one year J1 Visa by Irish people and in seeking employment opportunities under the scheme.  Failté 32 is the umbrella group of over 30 Irish support groupings based in New York.  We welcome the recent meeting between the Department of Foreign Affairs and the State Department to review progress.

“In the last six months we have already helped over 240 people who have come to the United States to find work. We are group of Irish and Irish Americans who recognise the economic difficulties at home and we are simply using technology to make it easier, safer and quicker for Irish people to find work in the US by simply checking out the RendezVous353.com website. We are the 21st century version of the Irish pub in Queens, Brooklyn or the Bronx that acted as unofficial labour exchanges, but of course you had to be in the States to find that job. Nowadays, using our website, you may be able to ‘get a start’ in the States before even leaving Ireland.”
