By: Jungle Lore About Ranthambhore Ranthambhore National Park is considered as one of the best places to view the majestic predator in the Jungle. Being the royal hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, it has fueled the imagination of photographers and wildlife lovers from all over the globe. Being one of the biggest and most renowned tiger reserves in India, it is known for an eclectic mix of historical and natural wonders. Ranthambhore National Park is in Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan state and is located at the junction of the Aravalli and Vindhya hill range. WIldlife in Ranthambhore Animals: Tigers, Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Sambar deer, Chital or Spotted Deer, Nilgai, Hanuman langurs, Jackals, Jungle cats, Caracals, Sloth bears. Reptiles: Crocodiles, Monitor lizard, Turtles, Indian Pythons Cobra, Viper Birds: Roofus Tree-pie, Painted Storks, Wolly Neck Storks, Black Storks, Flame back Woodpeckers, pied woodpeckers, varieties of Kingfishers like common, white breasted, pied, stork-billed, Indian and european rollers, Bee Eaters, Cuckoos, Parakeets, Asian Palm Swift, Varieties of owls like Dusky eagle Owl,Collar scof owl, spotted owlet, Nightjars, Crakes, Snipes, Sandpipers, Gulls, Terns, Eagles like Serpent eagle, changable hawk eagle, Darters, Cormorants, Orioles, Cuckoo-Shrikes, Minivets, Drongos, pittas etc. Detailed Itinerary DAY 1 - EVENING DEPARTURE FOR RANTHAMBHORE Depart in the evening for Sawai Madhopur by Jaipur Superfast Express at 6:50 pm from Mumbai Central. DAY 2 - JUNGLE SAFARI Arrive in Sawai Madhopur at 10:30 am and transfer to Ranthambhore Forest Resort. After breakfast, freshening up and lunch we leave for our first Jungle Safari to Ranthambhore National Park to experience majestic wildlife. After the safari, kids will be engaged by our expert in an informative slideshow on wild habitat of Ranthambhore. Dinner and Campfire will mark an end to the day. Overnight stay at the resort. DAY 3 - JUNGLE SAFARI Leave for early morning Jungle Safari. Return to the resort for breakfast followed by leisure time & shopping. After Lunch, we leave for a jungle safari. After returning to the resort we shall enjoy Rajasthani Folk Dance and cultural show performed by local artists. Overnight stay is at the forest resort. DAY 4 - VISIT TO RANTHAMBHORE FORT Leave for a visit to mighty Ranthambhore Fort at 8:00 AM. Back to resort for breakfast & lunch. Depart for Mumbai at afternoon at 4:00 PM. DAY 5 - ARRIVAL IN MUMBAI Arrive in Mumbai by 7:50 AM with awesome wild memories. Tour Cost - Rs 7000 + train fare per child.
