Follow on Google News | Ultimate Weight Loss Solution: A Healthy Version of the Twinkie Diet for Fast and Easy Weight LossThe weight loss industry just got its wake-up call. Healthy Affordable Weight Loss's latest innovation: Safe, rapid weight loss with the convenience of the Twinkie Diet but in a healthy, doctor-approved way.
By: Belinda Kan - Healthy Affordable Weight Loss Professor Haub made headlines by losing 27lbs in 10 weeks on a reduced-calorie diet consisting of 75% junk food. Junk food is known to be cheap, cost-wise and nutrition-wise. The purpose of this experiment was to see what mattered when it came to weight loss - calories alone, or the quality of the calories. Months later, he has maintained his weight loss despite predictions from naysayers who said that he would gain it all back given the "unhealthy" nature of a convenience- Not only did he lose weight, but his blood test results improved as well, which left many people, including himself, wondering how this could be possible and what did it mean in terms of the healthy eating mantra that all self-respecting health advocates stand by? Certified Health Coach Belinda Kan says, "The Twinkie Diet is a great model for a successful weight loss program. It's easy, it's convenient, it's tasty, and it's affordable. Healthy Affordable Weight Loss has gone the weight loss industry one better. Where most companies in this market have offered expensive diets, unpalatable food, and possible short-term results, our weight loss program provides people with a clinically-proven, doctor-approved system to achieve healthy, rapid weight loss that is affordable and that lasts a lifetime. It's like a truly healthy version of the Twinkie Diet." Belinda has identified several key steps most important to a healthy, affordable and doable weight loss program: 1. It should allow you to eat every 2-3 hours: A person balances their blood sugar, manages insulin production, and curbs fat storage by eating small amounts of food at regular intervals. Blood sugar levels never go too low, which leads to raging hunger and overeating at meal times. Nor do they ever go too high as a result of overeating, and thus insulin does not have a chance to store excess calories as fat. Professor Haub ate a single Twinkie or other small convenience food item every three hours. A Twinkie is only 150 calories. This fact has largely been overlooked in news articles, but it is probably the number one reason for his weight loss and improved blood test results. By contrast, diets that require you to starve or not eat for most of the day usually backfire and lead to binging and weight gain. 2. It has to be easy to eat and tasty: Two of the reasons why snack cakes like Twinkies are so appealing is because they are ready-to-eat and they are made to taste good. In finding healthier substitutions, it's important that they be equally easy to eat and as palatable. Few people have the time nowadays to devote to spending all day in the kitchen preparing 6 meals a day, let alone sitting down to eat 6 meals a day. People are on the go, and any weight loss program has to fit into that mold. One great solution is convenient, portion-controlled meal replacements. But they have to offer complete nutrition in a small number of calories, and of course they have to taste good. When combined with the appropriate amount of regular food, weight loss can occur even faster than in Professor Haub's case. 3. It has to be easy to do and affordable: These days, cost is on everyone's mind. If the program is prohibitive, and if it doesn't offer fast enough results for it to be worth the money, people won't stick to it. Also, if it requires a lot of overhead time such as measuring, counting, planning, shopping, and driving to weight loss centers, people will be less likely to stick with it. The best program would be cost neutral - that is, it wouldn't cost more to lose weight than it would to eat whatever someone has currently been eating. It would also fit into a person's individual schedule. Instead of having to carve out extra time to "lose weight," making the program fit seamlessly into someone's day increases the chance that they will stick to it. These weight loss steps are just part of an entire healthy, easy, and affordable weight loss solution.
