ATS’s eSHOP Standard Pin Fin Heat Sink Extrusions are available for BGA package sizes from 21mm to 54mm.  Heights range from 6mm to 25mm. Their thermal resistance characteristics are as low as 1.6°C/W.  The heat sinks can be purchased with optional thermal tape to provide a physical attachment and thermal interface.  The heat sinks are black anodized.  Anodization thickens and toughens the naturally occurring protective oxide layer on the surface of metal parts.  Anodization also helps a heat sink to radiate more heat to the surrounding cooler air, making them more efficient.
