Feb. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- With William Shakespeare's classic The Taming of the Shrew as its foundation and Music & Lyrics by the immortal Cole Porter, this classic Broadway musical will put a spring in your step. Big-time actors Lilli Vanessi (Kristin Tower-Rowles) and Fred Graham (Ray Buffer) are formerly-married, constantly battling, and now forced to reunite for a new musical version of...what else? "Shrewsical" a musical based on The Taming of the Shrew! Their onstage tussles as Shakespeare's Katherine and Petruchio are nothing compared to their offstage affairs, backstage brawls, and hilarious misunderstandings.  Even though engaged to a high ranking General, Lilli becomes jealous of Fred's attention to a new actress, former nightclub performer, Lois Lane.  Bill Calhoun and gambler and Broadway dancer, likewise is jealous that his girl Lois is playing the field.   The enduring Tony Award-winning score includes hits such as Another Op'nin, Another Show, Why Can't You Behave?, and Brush Up Your Shakespeare. Playing the roles of Lois Lane/Bianca and Bill Calhoun/Lucentio are Jessica Taylor and Drew Fitzsimmons.

Drew Fitzsimmons is very happy to finally work in the Warner Grand's incredible space. 8 years ago Drew performed in his first musical, it just so happened to be "Kiss Me, Kate" at the Westchester Playhouse. In the course of that production he fell in love not only with Musicals but also with Shakespeare. Since then, he has performed both all over the greater Los Angeles Area. Recent roles include, P.D. (Prince of Darkness) in "Seven" at the Little Fish Theatre and Touchstone in "As You Like It" with the Kentwood Players.
