In the 2010 Valentine’s season, some 835 email promotions were logged with the word “Valentine” in the subject line.

In the heaviest promotion timeframe, from Feb. 1 to Feb. 14, there were 576 email promotions, or 8.6% of all email promotions logged by the Email Campaign Archive.  The day with the highest Valentine email volume was on Feb. 9 with 76 promotions logged in.

The day of delivery for 2010 Valentine’s promotions mirrored that of most email marketing promotions: heavy mid-week, mostly Tuesday through Friday, with weekends having the lightest volume of email promotions delivered.
