Feb. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Dana Point, Calif. - There are about thirty thousand inns and B&B’s in North America but only ten have won the accolades of travelers to be the most romantic in America for 2011.

In addition to iLoveInns.com staff recommendations, the selection process takes into account nine separate evaluations. Atmosphere, surroundings, room quality, amenities, décor, attention to detail, www.iLoveInns.com guest reviews, website quality, and the innkeeper’s hospitality quotient - quality of welcoming and ability to personalize service as reported by guests.

American Historic Inns and the iLoveInns.com website offer the following ten inns to America as the top romantic inns in the country for 2011 together with a guest comment from each inn.

“A Little Piece of Heaven”
That’s what recent guests said about A.G. Thomson House in Duluth, Minnesota. “... spectacular surroundings, the incredibly delicious breakfasts...”

“The Perfect Place to Revel in Your Own Romance”
Julie S.  unwittingly explained why inns such as Cedarcrest Manor at Overlook Farm in Clarksville, Missouri were chosen as the Top 10 Romantic Inns.

“We Left Feeling Happier Than Ever to be Married to Each Other!”
This was the comment left by Denise and Vernon.   It takes a special setting to bring a couple to this sense of gratitude for their relationship and that is what happens at the Inn at 202 Dover in Easton, Maryland, a fully restored Colonial Revival mansion with elegant furnishings, luxury accommodations and sophisticated amenities that pamper and promote romance.

“Hosts Who Go the Extra Mile!”
Volker A. from Monash, Australia said about Abbeymoore Manor B&B in Victoria, British Columbia and it is definitely a frequently felt point when guests write about especially romantic lodgings - there are many extra surprises.

“Tiffany Hill Can Stoke the Fires of Your Love!”
JRae J. pointed this out and it confirms that a good inn slows you down such as the Bed & Breakfast Tiffany Hill in Mills River, North Carolina. The Inn is poised in a picturesque setting in the mountains near Asheville yet secluded on six gorgeous acres.  Tiffany Hill gives couples the opportunity to reconnect with an array of gorgeous gardens and romantic rooms.

“The Beauty, Good Fellowship, ... Graciousness and Happiness Infusing this Hallowed Site.” This is the feeling expressed by Paul and Delores W. after a stay at Holualoa Inn in Holualoa, Hawaii, a stunning 30-acre Kona coffee upcountry estate on the Big Island with a Polynesian ambiance, fragrant tropical gardens, a meditative labyrinth, and ocean views.

“Absolutely Gorgeous, Immaculate ....We’ll Visit the Rest of Our Lives”
That's what Monica B. from Cincinnati enthused. Another guest, Vanessa R. commented. “Prepare to be spoiled with the attention to detail,” about the pristine Burlington’s Willis Graves B&B in Burlington, Kentucky.

“So Much Perfection, I Could Swoon.”

A German couple was captivated by the beauty and attention to detail found at El Rancho Merlita Ranch House B&B in Tucson, Arizona, the former estate of the founder of Merle Norman Cosmetics.

“Oozed Charm, Hospitality and Grace Out of Every Venerable Pore, Warm, Ready-to-Please Innkeeper.”
A guest from Huntsville, Ala. raved about Mansfield Plantation B&B Country Inn in Georgetown, South Carolina, an antebellum plantation on 1000 scenic acres with moss-draped oaks for shady relaxation in a hammock or waterfront swing and inviting gardens to stroll.

“This Was the Most Enjoyable Stay in a Hotel Ever.”
Heidi K. said  about The Sayre Mansion Inn in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, a premier urban inn on two picturesque acres where modern luxuries blend with Old World elegance designed with romance in mind.

So whether you are a newlywed looking for a Valentine’s Day getaway or soon-to-be wed searching for the perfect romantic venue, or looking for a place to celebrate an anniversary, or just want to rekindle a relationship, one of these inns will help create memories for a lifetime. These inns evoke romantic feelings that have re-ignited the passion in mates of many years and made lifelong lovers out of complete strangers. Stay at a romantic inn and awaken the love in your heart.

According to Deborah Sakach, president of iLoveInns.com, a division of American Historic Inns, the selection process is a year-long investigation. “We start at the beginning of the year reviewing web sites, traveler comments and other sources and compile a preliminary list of inns that adds into the hundreds. Throughout the year we continue to monitor the inns on the list and begin our elimination process until we have a manageable number. Then we send a questionnaire to the inns and continue our investigation. Finally, after reviewing all of the data, guest comments, reviews, responses to the questionnaire and interviews, the team sets about to select the finalists.”
