“What Would You Do With An Extra $400 Per Month?”

A short essay contest designed to get people to think about their finances and how they spend their money. If one suddenly had an extra $400 per month, what would they do with it? Would you they plan and allocate it or would it just disappear?
Feb. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- On his facebook fanpage (Jon Karuschkat your mortgage expert)  http://www.facebook.com/jkmortgage  Jon Karuschkat a residential loan originator with Shea Mortgage in Highlands Ranch Colorado is sponsoring a short essay contest “What would you do with an extra $400 per month”.  First place prize is a Flip HD video camera.  Entering is easy, go to the fan page and write a short (100 words or less) essay about what you would do with extra money.  Grammar and punctuation don’t matter, what is important is thought and planning and the ideas.
Mr. Karuschkat said:  ”the purpose of this contest is to get people to think about and plan for their future.  After talking with several financial planners it became apparent that many people refinanced their home mortgage and saved several hundred dollars but without a plan most people just let that savings slip away.  Maybe this will get people thinking about the possibilities.” With today’s low rates many people refinance their home mortgage and save hundreds of dollars each and every month.  While some people need the savings just to make ends meet, for many clients it is a true windfall.  Without planning this money will just disappear.  Jon further explained that with each loan application he consults with the client to help them determine the best course of action.  “We truly care about our clients and want to work with them to insure their financial well being” Jon can be contacted at Shea Mortgage in Highlands Ranch, Colorado 720-289-7484 or on his facebook fanpage.
