Williamsburg Environmental Group, Inc. Northern Virginia Offices Join Forces

Feb. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- FREDERICKSBURG, VA.; February 3, 2011 – Williamsburg Environmental Group, Inc. (WEG), a local environmental consulting and engineering firm, is pleased to announce the joining of their Fredericksburg and Herndon branch offices into a new location to better serve the central and northern Virginia regions.  

This office merger brings together civil engineers, landscape architects, project managers, environmental planners, ecologists, regulatory specialists, environmental technicians, and support personnel under one roof to provide more depth of staff to WEG’s clients and increase cost-saving efficiencies.

WEG has provided multi-discipline environmental consulting and engineering services in the northern Virginia areas since its inception in 1990, and has had a physical presence in the region since 1995 with locations first in Fairfax County and then in Fredericksburg. WEG is now pleased to bring these offices together at 150 Riverside Parkway, Suite 301, Fredericksburg, Virginia, in Stafford County.

Mr. George C. Rhodes, III, L.A., who has been with WEG for over ten years as a Senior Landscape Architect and the Senior Office Manager for the Herndon branch office, will serve as the manager for this new location. Mr. Rhodes’ responsibilities include overall project management of regulatory, mitigation, environmental, construction, and development projects throughout the central and northern Virginia regions.

With the consolidation of offices, came duplicate and excess furniture. In keeping with WEG’s commitment to their local communities, several pieces of office furniture (desks, chairs, computer monitors, etc.) were donated to the Piedmont Virginia Building Industry Association (PVBIA) for their warehouse yard sale. The PVBIA is a non-profit organization that represents the building industry. “Here at WEG, one of our core values is a strong commitment to the local communities we serve.  The PVBIA is a great resource for helping to provide quality housing that is affordable to all and we take pride in being able to support such a beneficial organization,” said George Rhodes.
