Follow on Google News | ![]() Cary group presents NC Premiere of Luminosity and other Music of Our TimeConcert Singers of Cary is presenting a concert containing the North Carolina premiere of Luminosity by James Whitbourn, along with works by North Carolina composers, including internationally known Karel Husa.
This exciting program features the North Carolina Premiere of Luminosity by English composer James Whitbourn, This is a fresh new work composed for choir, dance, lighting and instruments, including viola, organ, tam-tam and tanpura. Interpretive dance choreography will be provided by members of the Cary Ballet Conservatory. The program also features a variety of music including works by internationally known composer Karel Husa, now a resident of Apex. One of Mr. Husa’s compositions was recently featured in the North Carolina Symphony’s Slavic Drama concert in January. Other featured North Carolina composers are Jacob Groff, Stephen R. Anderson, Lanette Lind, Lane Tracy and Jeneal Teander. The CSC Chamber Choir is one of the multiple performance groups of Concert Singers of Cary. CSC is thrilled to include this concert in our 20th Anniversary Season. For two decades CSC has been one of the Triangle’s premier performing arts organizations, providing innovative programming and excellent choral performances. This year is no exception.
