The Tourism Beats Divorce

Trying a special kind of holiday makes a lot more sense instead of paying expensive divorce lawyers.

Feb. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- The owner of Mumbai tour company, KV Tours and Travel, an enterprising entrepreneur, Vijesh Thakkar, came up with the unique proposal of ‘divorce tourism’.

The vast majority of marriages are destroyed through a huge range of unrealistic expectations, overemphasis placed on unimportant issues and trivial unresolved arguments. The purpose of ‘divorce tourism’ is to team the sparring couple with a ‘tour guide’ who is in actual fact proficient in marriage guidance counseling.

The objective being for the threesome to be around each other for at least seven days. Following each counseling session, the counselor is able to make observations, while the couple is distracted by being on holiday and not in their normal daily situation.

The ‘tour guide’ is able to point out what the couple does not notice as the struggling couple will often fight quite viciously about the most trivial things. The hope is they will let go some of their bickering and destructive thought patterns. Once a marriage starts to improve, the pathway for further progress is often set and things can gradually begin to improve, even once they are home again.

There is however, an alternative to the Indian ‘Divorce Tourism’, for struggling couples. They could spend seven days on a tropical island, in the South Pacific, with a counselor available as required.

The 80 island archipelago Vanuatu, in the South Pacific, is ideally situated for this kind of adventure. Swimming in tepid clear waters, sipping a cocktail while watching a tropical sunset, or lazing by the pool, could be just the distraction needed, after some counseling sessions. Healing must come from inside a relationship, no matter how much advice a counselor can give.

‘Divorce Tourism’ might be a more cost effective alternative to a visit to a divorce attorney's office and there are some good cheap airfares and accommodation deals going at the moment.

Another alternative is to enter a seven day free holiday for two competition.
