Golfers focus on improving shoulder rotation because of how much it impacts their swing. A limited range of motion in your shoulders will result in a poor golf shot. It could also prevent you from hitting the ball as far as you can by limiting the torque developed by your swing.
Golfers also recognize their legs need to be in shape for walking the courses & their knees need to be more so. Helping your knees through fitness exercises improves your swing approach by improving your ability to stay positioned over the ball, in a centered fashion. It also prevents your knees from locking up during your swing.
