Ron Barac, D.O., will be the featured speaker during this month’s Expert Is In lecture series on Tuesday, February 1st at 6:00 p.m. at the LECOM Medical Fitness and Wellness Center.  Dr. Barac’s presentation is called, “Cardiovascular Disease: The Heart Truth”.

Dr. Barac will discuss the impact and complexity of cardiovascular disease in the United States.  He will go over risk factors and talk about warning signs.  Dr. Barac will also suggest ways to improve cardiac health and minimize the risks of developing cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Barac is an internal medicine specialist with Medical Associates of Erie.  He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He works as a physician in a multi-cultural health clinic run by the Housing Authority of the City of Erie.  Dr. Barac is a LECOM graduate and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Millcreek Community Hospital.
