Today’s consumer is keenly aware that managing a family’s finances is not always easy. The mortgage, car payment, groceries, utilities, they all contribute to what is commonly known as “debt stress,” and it’s easy to get in over your head. To help viewers learn how they can manage their money more effectively, “The Balancing Act” will feature Etta Money, president of InCharge® Debt Solutions, a nonprofit credit counseling organization that helps people find answers to their debt problems. Make sure you tune in to The Balancing Act ‘My Money’ series on February 9th at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) as they air on Lifetime Television.
InCharge® Debt Solutions offers a variety of personal finance educational services, workshops, counseling, and online tools including financial calculators and budgeting worksheets.
Etta says, “Our appearance on The Balancing Act helps us further our mission to educate consumers about budgeting, getting spending under control, establishing financial priorities, and setting goals.”
Learning how to manage debt can be overwhelming, especially if your household income has been reduced. Rather than simply seeking to “settle” your debt, Etta recommends to viewers to take the time to understand the benefits of credit counseling by speaking with a certified credit counselor. The counselor will work with you to evaluate your financial situation and find a debt solution that is right for you.
Doug Campbell, founder and executive VP of programming for The Balancing Act, said, “Having Etta Money on The Balancing Act brings yet another great solution to women, one that will have a real impact, and help them balance their lives. This is the essence of solutions-based programming, and we are proud that we could bring the message and resources of InCharge® Debt Solutions to our viewers.”
