Cornish Cottages announced ‘winner’ at the Excellence in Business Training Awards

Jan. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- In a glittering event which took place at the Headland Hotel Newquay, Cornish Cottages was recognised for the commitment shown to developing, supporting and encouraging the training & development needs of Unlocking Cornish Potential graduate, Sharon Sandercock.

University of St. Mark and St. Johns, Public Relations and Media graduate, Sharon Sandercock is employed as the company’s marketing and communications manager. Over the last 12 months Sharon has attended many courses, enrolled in mentoring programs and obtained qualifications, which in return have directly benefited and helped the expansion of Cornish Cottages. Following Sharon’s employment and her newly acquired skills, Cornish Cottages has carried out a complete rebrand, introduced a newly optimised website, carried out strong media/advertising campaigns in addition to increasing website traffic by 97%.

Peter Collins, Director of Cornish Cottages said; “The impact over the last year has been outstanding, with the wide range of courses and selection of experienced mentors that UCP and Cornwall College offers; it really has helped Sharon develop her skills and knowledge in the areas that she wanted to.
