Coaching is a partnership between a coach and a client for the purpose of producing extraordinary and fulfilling results for the client. Coaching uses a process of inquiry to move the client past blocks and challenges and forward to the accomplishment of the client's desired outcome. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance the quality of their lives. Coaches work with clients in many areas, including business, career, finance, health and relationships.
The ICF is the leading global organization for coaches, with over 17,000 professional, personal and business coaches representing more than 100 countries, it is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high ethical standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches. The ICF is the only organization that awards a global credential which is currently held by over 7,000 coaches worldwide. For more information on how to become or find an ICF Credentialed coach, please visit the ICF Web site at www.coachfederation.org or the VICA website at www.vicoaches.org (new website scheduled to launch Feb 6th).
During International Coaching Week, coaches all over Vancouver Island and all over the world will celebrate coaching by raising public awareness about coaching, the benefits of the coaching process and illustrating the value that coaching can bring to peoples’ lives.
