Mompops To Open In 2011 At Local Contra Costa Farmers Markets

Jan. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Contra Costa County – With a focus on local, seasonal, and sustainable, a new collaboration from Mom’s, Christy Reimer and Angela Mullin comes, MOMpops. MOMpops will be offering sesonal frozen treats at local Contra Costa Farmers Markets. MOMpops will be opening April 2011.

Created by longtime friends, Christy Reimer and Angela Mullin, two stay at home mom’s who’s passion for food shines through in their popsicle creations. Christy coming from a childcare background and Angela being in the restaurant industry knew that delicious treats, for both kids and adults are in need at their local farmers markets. “Knowing that our children’s diet and nutritional are important, we came up with the idea of a fresh, nutritious and delicious Popsicle frozen treat,” Christy says about their popsicles.

Hot Summer day and you need something cool for the kids? Fall rainy evening and you still need something sweet. Get some popsicles right? Well, MOMpops will treat you and your kids to the ultimate tasty cold delight.

MOMpops’ specializes in seasonal handmade popsicle’s with some wonderful flavors that do change depending on what’s in season. Offering delicious and health-conscious flavors, including: Pineapple Cilantro, Cucumber Chile Lime, Nectarine Ginger, Chai Tea and Vietnamese Coffee. Using the freshest and most seasonal fruit and sustainable products.

Describing ourselves as, “handmade seasonal and gourmet pops,” MOMpops makes creative fruit, vegetable and herbal frozen treats sweetened with things like cane sugar, agave and fruit ciders. Using local and organic ingredients when possible, these are pops that are highly ethical and fortunately, highly flavorful as well.

MOMpops will be sold at Farmer’s Markets on Thursday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s. Looking to expand in the summer months to more locations. To reduce our carbon footprint, MOMpops buys from local farmers and makes the handmade popsicle with only seasonal products.
