Brand management thrust into spotlight by LinkedIn

Brand management used to involve getting the same logo on the top of every letterhead and promotional gift. However, the digital age has made the task much more involved.

But, brand management is becoming an increasingly complex issue that takes careful consideration and a lot of manpower to stay on top – particularly following the widespread uptake of social media.

An international business networking website has just launched a European-wide campaign to remind businesses of the importance of successful brand management.

The BrandYou campaign, which has been created by LinkedIn, aims to reiterate to businesses the huge benefits that a solid brand and strong business reputation can have.

Kevin Eyres, managing director at LinkedIn Europe, said that it is important businesses and freelancers remember that online brand management has a direct impact on a company's offline reputation – and vice-versa.

We think, it pays to get offline branding right, which is why we urge companies to put a lot of thought into choosing appropriate corporate gifts for their clients.
