Ram Trucks Give Facebookers A 'Battle of the Bands' Competition

Jan. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Are you destined for stardom? The Ram Truck Brand is giving you all the chance to perform on stage at the 2011 Rodeo Austin March 11 – 26.  

Ram is hosting the ‘Ram Battle of the Bands’ on its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/RamTrucks.com). The brand is looking for the next big country star or band. How do you enter? Simple. All you have to do is submit your video to for a chance to win.

"The Ram Truck Brand supports country music and we admire the hard work and determination that these artists dedicate to their craft," said, Fred Diaz, Ram Truck Brand President and CEO, Chrysler Group LLC. "The brand wants to help give these performers some recognition and possibly help boost their career on a local and national level."

Your videos that you submit will be voted on by country music fans across the county and the top 10 bands or individuals, with the most votes, will move on to the Ram Truck panel of judges who will then select their favorite top two videos. These top two bands or individuals will play in front of more than 25,000 people and will also have the chance to win a big cash prize.

The first place winner will win $5,000 and the second place winner with win $2,500. Voting ends on February 13, 2011 and you can find the rules on Ram Trucks Facebook page.

If you can’t sing, no problem; you will still have the chance to win a country music prize pack by just voting for your favorite video. The country music prize pack includes an iPod and iTunes gift car along with Ram Truck accessories.

Ram Trucks is really trying to get in tune, no pun intended, with country music fans online. This campaign marks the largest single online marketing intiative for the Ram brand. We will keep you up to date with the Ram Battle of the Bands compeitition as it heads off in March.
