Jan. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- I come from a climbing background, only a year ago I would have had no idea what HTML stands for or what a CSS is. When I was at school there were no IT lessons, I first came across the internet whilst I was at University. When I decided I wanted to start my own rock climbing company, I new a website site was needed. My climbing company started off very small and with no extra funds for paying someone to build me a website, so I decided to learn the skills myself. Numerous books were bought and many hours were spent playing with basic HTML. After about 6 months I had understood enough to build my own site.

The site worked well and had all the information I needed to put across. The only problem is that it did not look professional enough to represent the high quality climbing courses I offer. My way around this was to get a web designer to design the look of the site as well as providing me some graphics. After many more months building my site I am pleased to reveal my new site is up and running.

This new website has much of the same content, but with much easier navigation between the pages. The simple navigation system allows the users to find the information they are looking for and helps explain what I do and where I run the climbing courses. The navigation system also lets the users know how much different climbing courses cost and which areas will be more suitable for them.

The areas that have received the most improvement have been the free online climbing guides and the free information and advice. The photos in the climbing guides have been improved as well as many more areas added. There are many more pages providing information about rock climbing and the areas the climbing courses are run in. These include a new mountain flowers guide, geology to three different climbing areas along with pages on how to tie climbing knows, setting up climbs and placing rock climbing protection.

I hope that people will find these pages useful and will keep returning to learn more tips and find out about the new pages I will keep adding.

My site can be found at http://www.mountain-trips.co.uk

Hope you find this site useful
