Action for our Planet joins International Anti-Fur Coalition

Action for our Planet (AFOP) announced on Friday the 21st of January that it had become a member of the International Anti-Fur Coalition (IAFC), a global movement campaigning to stop the fur trade.

Jan. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Action for our Planet has joined with over 60 other worldwide organisations who will work together to campaign, petition and raise awareness of the atrocities committed by the fur trade.  Fur is unfortunately popular in the fashion world, with more and more designers choosing to use fur. This means many more animals need to be bred and slaughtered to meet the growing demand.  Animals on fur farms will suffer in a small cage for their entire short lives, they will then be skinned alive, electrocuted, gassed, poisoned or strangled. Animals in the wild will be caught in snares, leg traps or will be shot. There is no such thing as organic or ethical fur, as some fashion houses will claim.

AFOP hopes that concerned individuals and organisations can eventually put an end to the cruel fur trade. The International Anti-Fur Coalition, is one such global movement that can help put an end to the fur trade.
