Greenville Chrysler Jeep Dodge announces arrival of all-new 2011 Jeep Compass!

Jan. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- The newly redesigned Jeep Compass offers updated features to freshen its appearance for the year 2011. New changes for this year include an optional off-road-ready four-wheel drive system, and an updated exterior that resembles the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The base model Compass is equipped with a powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces an impressive 158-horsepower and 141 pound-feet of torque. Also available is a 2.4-liter four cylinder engine that is standard on Limited models but optional on base and Latitude trims. The powerful 2.4-liter engine delivers 172 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque.  Standard on the base Compass is a five-speed manual transmission. The CVT is available and comes standard on Latitude and Limited models.

Interior features of the all new 2011 Jeep Compass include steering wheel mounted controls and power door locks and windows, a center console, a removable and rechargeable reading lamp, a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet, and a basic audio system with an auxiliary input jack. Features that are optional on all models come with Uconnect, Jeep’s technology system that integrates navigation, SIRIUS satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

Standard safety features of the new Jeep Compass include Electronic Stability Control, Electronic Roll Mitigation, supplemental side-curtain airbags, traction control, advanced multi-stage driver and front-passenger airbags, supplemental side-curtain airbags, traction control, and a tire pressure warning lamp. Features such as a tire pressure monitoring display and supplemental seat-mounted driver and front passenger air bags are optional.
