Love in Action; Local Artist, Children & Volunteers Start a Love Epidemic

Jan. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- On February 14, 2011- residents in all Charlotte nursing homes will receive an “I Love You” card hand made by area children. In addition community volunteers will personally deliver cards and candy to homeless in the uptown Charlotte area. Christian recording artist Tawanda Robbins and TL Music Group, LLC are organizing the Love in Action project.  

Love in Action's goal is to replace the feeling of despair and loneliness in those most forgotten.  Nothing warms the heart more than hearing someone say ‘I love you’.  Over 100 children in the Charlotte community will design the cards.  Then area children and adult volunteers will personally deliver the cards to nursing home residents while adult volunteers will also deliver to homeless individuals in uptown Charlotte. Volunteers and participants will be wearing red, the iconic color of love.

Tawanda has helped the homeless in the past by sponsoring a feed the homeless day. On May 15, 2010, after her concert Tawanda and volunteers personally delivered dinner to homeless individuals on the street in uptown Charlotte. She has also held charity benefit concerts locally and as far as Trinidad & Tobago. “February 14 is the perfect day to put Love in Action because it is the day the world stands still for love. We will stand still for love as well and replace loneliness by putting Love in Action.  February 14 is the day we will show the love of Jesus Christ”- Tawanda Robbins.

TL Music Group is seeking community help to ensure that Love in Action is a success! Local schools, day cares, playgroups, youth groups and other organizations are encouraged to take part in this opportunity to share love to those most forgotten.
