Yarmouth Metal To Hold Winter Meltdown Heavy Metal Concert On February 19th - Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

Jan. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- On February 19th, 2011 at the Knights of Columbus, 10 Collins St., Yarmouth, a heavy metal concert will take place that is one of the largest to hit Yarmouth in recent times. Put on by new music company Yarmouth Metal, a music, event and media promotions company also involved in artist management, The Winter Meltdown will serve as the first step towards establishing Yarmouth Metal as a leading music promoter in the Yarmouth area.

Headlining the show is Halifax metal band Hellacaust. Hellacaust is no stranger to touring as they are veterans of touring throughout Canada and the United States. They are touring in support of there latest release, Disgust (2008, Bloodbucket Productions) and are hoping to play in front of a Yarmouth crowd.

Joining Hellacaust on The Winter Meltdown are bands with Yarmouth connections. Myron Cottreau, of the bands Fistfight and Burnt Church, is originally from the Yarmouth area. Also with Yarmouth connections, Panic & War feature Tim Barager on Vocals and Bass.  The Winter Meltdown will also feature Halifax natives, Threshold Guardian.

Yarmouth Metal is planning to have many local artists on the show, and will feature 3 bands from the Yarmouth area. Demons, who reunited for the first time since 2005 to play a Yarmouth Metal launch party, will take the stage on February 19th , as will Yarmouth residents Marc Durkee, Jeremy Wheeler and Jeremy Surette and there band,  Labyrinthian. Rounding out the lineup are Barrington natives, The Convicted.

Doors will open at 6pm, with Yarmouth natives, Labyrinthian taking the stage at 6:30pm. Hellacaust will headline the show at 11:30pm. Admission is $7.00 and the show is all ages, no alcohol permitted.
