CardioID Kiosk On Display at IHRSA Show

The new CardioID® Kiosk (www.CardioIDkiosk) will be on display at the IHRSA Show (www.IHRSA.org), March 16-17 at the Moscone Center. The kiosk measures the relative age of an individual’s cardiovascular system and returns their CardioID®.
 
Jan. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- The new CardioID® Kiosk (www.CardioIDkiosk) will be on display at the IHRSA Show (www.IHRSA.org), March 16-17 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The kiosk measures the relative age of an individual’s cardiovascular system and returns their CardioID®.

As fitness centers look for ways to integrate with health and wellness initiatives, the CardioID Kiosk provides a practical way for fitness centers to engage their communities in conversations about cardiovascular wellness,” comments Darrell Amy, CEO of Young at Heart North America.
The CardioID Kiosk is a self- testing, touch screen device that determines the relative age of a person’s arteries in a fast, non-invasive test. The technology is licensed from the medical industry for the consumer market. The CardioID platform incorporated backend software which allows fitness clubs to up-sell demographically-targeted products and services.

The CardioID® Kiosk also provides significant benefits in attracting and retaining club members. New members are attracted to discover the age of their cardiovascular system. Automated marketing keeps them coming back to track their CardioID. Targeted offers up-sell profitable products and services.

Based on clinically-tested and proven Pulse Wave Velocity technology the system measures the user’s arterial stiffness using a fingertip pulse oximiter clip. This information is analyzed with an algorhythm based on data from normal, healthy individuals to determine the user’s Comparative Vascular Age or CardioID. For example, a 40-year-old user may have the relative arterial stiffness of a 32-year-old or 48-year-old. The system generates a report that includes the user’s CardioID, Body Mass Index and Resting Heart Rate.
