DAMON ALLEN LAUNCHES ONLINE SPORTS
AND ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM WITH CHANNEL 9 ONLINE

January 14, 2011, Toronto – Damon Allen, legendary CFL Quarterback will be launching “Outside the Pocket” an all new sports and entertainment, online, talk show on January 17, 2011. The program will be co-hosted by entertainment reporter Tracy Lynn and each weekly broadcast will feature a celebrity guest.

Outside the Pocket has a whole new take on sports programming – focusing on what it takes to succeed as an athlete. The program is a part of Allen’s larger initiative to support amateur sport in Canada. “There is so much more to sports than gimmicks, glory and glamour. We are going to be looking at sports from the inside-out. We are going to tell people the truth about what it takes to succeed,” says Damon Allen.

Outside the Pocket will premiere on January 17, 2011 at 7:00 pm with a new segment every Monday. Episodes are available to view and download at www.ch9.ca, or www.damonallen.ca. The program will discuss the genuine story of sports including sports marketing, sports medicine, managing a career, life after sports and more.
