Free Cooking Demonstrations Taught by Chef Michael Flores at La Taza Coffee House

Jan. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- SAN ANTONIO, TX – Chef Michael announces the launch of his free series of cooking demonstrations at La Taza Coffee House, special thematic culinary mornings that will take place on the fourth Saturday of each month from 10:30 am until 11:30 am.  Starting on January 22, 2011, guests will learn new culinary ideas and techniques, starting with a lesson about how to make Chocolate Flourless Cake for Valentines, taught by chef Michael (http://CookwithMichael.com), a renowned a chef, author, television personality and the owner of a specialty foods company.  The first six cooking class themes will take place as follows:

·   January 22:  Chocolate Flourless Cake for Valentines
·   February 26:  Cooking Fish and Shellfish
·   March 26:  Getting Prepared for Easter
·   April 23:  Low-Fat Fiesta Favorites
·   May 28:  Summer Sides
·   June 25:  4th of July Firecracker Foods!

Over his 20 years as an acclaimed chef, Michael Flores has honed a passion for and expertise in Texas cuisine inspired by the vast selection of high quality, locally produced foods available.  He has taken a childhood passion for cooking and turned it into an evolving lifelong profession in the culinary arts.  Despite his formal training at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), Michael focuses on providing simple solutions for encouraging families to get back to the table.  

The demonstration is available free to the first 50 people to show up to La Taza Coffee House 15060 San Pedro Avenue, San Antonio 78323.
