Jan. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- (RALEIGH, NC) – Nurse Care of North Carolina, Inc. (NCNN) recently announced that the RHA Howell Bridges Community Alternative Program for Children (CAP/C) received the most votes out of 14 charities nominated in its December Charity Contribution Challenge. NCNN’s Gregg Miller presented the program with a check for $100.

NCNN’s Charity Contribution Challenge provides monthly donations to local charities and non-profit agencies. Each month, NCNN asks the public to nominate a charity and/or vote for the charities nominated through its website www.nursecarenc.com. The charity or non-profit with the most online votes wins the monthly contribution. In December, the winning non-profit was Bridges.

RHA Howell’s Bridges CAP/C program provides home and community-based services to medically fragile children under age 21 throughout North Carolina. It allows these children to stay at home with their families by creating a “bridge” between their families and the many services they need from physicians, therapist, and social services.

“I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Nurse Care of North Carolina's Charity Challenge,” said John Gibbons, Director of Case Management for RHA Howell. “Thank you for making RHA Howell Bridges your favorite non-profit.”
