3.   Increased Morale – Healthy and fit employees are generally happy and look forward to going to work. An increase in morale is very important for companies during these hard economic times where employees find themselves taking on more work as layoffs become rampant.
4.   Economic Benefits
      a.   In 2005, The US Government published a report that showed overweight employees cost the country about $116 billion annually in related health care costs
      b.   The 30-49 year age group which makes up the majority of the workforce has the highest increase in disability claims resulting from obesity in America.
      c.   The Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC) states, being overweight is known to raise the risk for many diseases including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol, coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure and strokes.
