The Phi Sigma Pi Endowment Fund Inc. Ushers In A New Generation Of Emerging Leaders

Jan. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Haddonfield, NJ - January 11, 2011-The Phi Sigma Pi Alpha Tau Chapter Endowment Fund, Inc. (The Endowment Fund) announces the creation of the Young Leaders Board (YLB).  The key goal of this new board is to encourage and create new leaders for the nonprofit now in its 4th year.

“This new auxiliary arm of the fund is a place to not only grow new leaders but to further The Endowment Fund’s mission of scholarship and leadership,” says Vice Chair Floyd Mitchell.

To date, The Endowment Fund has given seven scholarships to outstanding high school seniors from D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.  Through the application process, The Endowment Fund selected 16 outstanding young leaders to help move the fund forward and into the next generation.    

“The YLB is a group of young professionals willing to donate their time and talents toward expanding the organization,” says Chairman, Lloyd Freeman “We are excited about the new opportunities these members will bring to The Endowment Fund.”

The Endowment Fund plans to incorporate the YLB into the upcoming 2011 scholarship program, as well as in planning for the upcoming year with the implementation of community workshops and other fund events.

Mr. Lloyd Freeman (Chairman) and Mr. Floyd Mitchell (Vice-Chairman) founded the Phi Sigma Pi, Alpha Tau Chapter Endowment Fund, Inc. on February 20, 2007. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships and other types of financial aid to worthy individuals. It also seeks to maintain and aid social, charitable, educational, and other activities serving the community. The fund also assists community groups and individuals in educational and charitable activity. The final goal of the organization is aims to work with the youth in a variety of ways that encourage and promote character through scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. The Fund is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
